About Me
My name is Tim Robbins. I am a Designer/Illustrator and a Metal Fabricator. I work at Lobecks V8 Shop in Springfield Ohio. Yes!  That's correct!  You read it right. I work at a Hot Rod Shop. No, it is not a body shop or just a parts store. It's a real Hot Rod Shop. We build high end custom hot rods, street rods, street machines, and muscle cars. We do not do restorations. I have been working in this field since 1993. My job  is not like the TV shows on Discovery channel, Speed channel and Spike TV. I do not have a camera on me every morning, nor do I want one! I am a normal ( well somewhat normal ) red blooded American. I'm white and I'm proud of it! I'm a redneck and don't mind it! I believe in God and I do not care if that offends you! I believe everyone has the right to love, life, and the pursuit of happiness. But I also believe if you want it you should earn it, and work to get it and keep it! I believe in being honest, working hard, respecting my elders, standing up for what is right, fighting for freedom and my country, helping others in need until they are able to help themselves, being a friend, being proud of who I am and where I came from,  being a good dad, and an even better husband, and living by the word of God and laws of this land. I have two kids. Both boys. There  names are Matt and Cody, Matt being the oldest. My wife's name is Denise. She is my best friend. To be quite honest she is the glue that holds our family together. I respect her! We share allot of the same beliefs and values.  We are teaching our kids these same values. My life is very busy, but not complicated. I am a simple man.
My hobby as you may already know is radio control cars and trucks. I enjoy the simplicity of them, as well as the adventurous possibility they invoke. I no longer race RC's as I do not care for the whiney ass little pea brains who feel that, just because they have more money in there cars than anyone else, they should always win the race. I like RC's because they are fun. Being around people like that is not fun to me! But I do enjoy the hobby because it has so many other outlets for one to pursue. I chose a few that I felt at home in. One is collecting. I'm a pack rat, and a very good one if I do say so myself! I also enjoy reviving, rejuvenating, and restoring things that are old and rare. I enjoy the history of the hobby, and would like to see it preserved. I also like the scale realistic side of RCing. I get a real kick out of building scale models. Having one that actually moves is the ultimate to me! The bashing side of the hobby is very therapeutic to me! If you have the right RC vehicle you can truly relieve any and all frustrations that are weighing on you, with one short bash session. Now since I am an American male, it is impossible for me to totally shy away from competition all together. There for since racing is no longer my cup of tea, I chose something that was uniquely American, and very much more my style. Rock Crawling, and Ultimate Truck Challenges. To me this is RCing at its best! There is no limit to the mayhem, and everyone seems to be very down to earth about the sport. So this is where I am at in my hobby!
This sight is dedicated to my hobby, my family, my friends, and the things I am proud of. I built this site to share these things with others. So far it has brought me many new friends from around the world that enjoy this hobby as I do. This site is merely a means of expression for me. If you are visiting my site for the first time, and you enjoy this hobby as much as I do, then consider yourself a friend. Feel free to email me and share your comments, or even photos of your RC collection. Enjoy, and may God watch over you and and your families.
