Kyosho Assault ( Matty's )

I am very fascinated with these old buggies! This one is a Kyosho Assault. It like the others was an Ebay find. This one was actually the one that started it for me! I bought this buggy and was absolutely amazed at how neat it was. I then began digging up all the information I could find on the early Kyosho kits. I had a vintage Tamiya Sand Scorcher and thought it was neat but this buggy just blew me away. When I got it and then put fresh batteries in the radio gear and fueled it and with the first few revolutions of the motor it fired and ran! Wow! I was stoked! I was hooked on the Kyosho buggies. I had to have more! So more I got! This one soon became my oldest son Matty's. I had purchased a few more at the time and he really like it so I gave it to him.  The buggy is very neat. It shares allot of the same parts with all the early circuit 1000 buggies and is very similar to the Advance. The first visible difference is the full lexan body that covers the chassis of the car, and the wing in the rear. It also has an O.S. 10 motor on it with 3 ways to start it. It can be started via a Zip cord, an electric starter for Airplanes, or via a pull string. It has no roll cage! Only a roll bar with rear supports. All other parts are the same as the Advance. Here's the Specs.
